Senior Advisor

John has more than 35 years of global experience in the professional services industry. He has built and led global professional services businesses, driving market leading growth, acquiring and developing talent and teams, deploying functional practice domains and industries, and building best-in-class technology capabilities.

Presently, John is President of The Antares Services Company (Antares) that was formed in 2021. It is a bespoke provider of advisory services across the professional services industry, including management consulting, technology services, managed services, and legal services. Antares focus is on creating market responsive business model designs, planning for and delivering market differentiated growth, developing client relevant solutions, and building the most critical capabilities through talent activation and practice building. Antares has advised over 20 clients, including EY, Blackstone, Cognizant, Trask Solutions, Baringa Partners, among others.

The primary business issues Antares addresses today with its clients are in five domains: (i) responding to the incoming US administration and expected changes to the business climate, (ii) adopting and deploying artificial intelligence to its client’s business, (iii) building the new generation of management and talent needed for artificial intelligence, deployment, (iv) embedding artificial intelligence in the next generation professional services business models, and (v) creating true business value from technology investments.

John was with EY (formerly Ernst & Young) for over 15 years until 2021. He was a global leader in its consulting business where he built several multi-billion (USD) revenue businesses. During his tenure, revenue CAGR exceeded 25 percent in every region globally, including Latin America, ASEAN, Korea, Japan, and Central and Eastern European markets. At EY, John led the design and buildout of its technology capabilities, the design and implementation of its global delivery network, the establishment of its digital ecosystem platforms, and the design and deployment of its industry solution-driven business model. It was the only globally integrated business in EY.

John was with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting) for 16 years as part of its global financial services industry leadership team in its global banking and capital markets business. He was always responsible for the sales and delivery of services to its global clients. He developed Accenture’s global managed services strategy and designed and deployed its technology strategy and transformation businesses.

Throughout his career, John has served clients directly primarily in the global banking, capital markets, wealth and asset management, and private capital sectors. John’s past clients have included JP Morgan, Citibank, Morgan Stanley, Merrill Lynch, Deutsche Bank, Blackstone, Carlyle Group, RBS, NAB, RBC, BMO, PNC Bank, and KeyCorp, among others John is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Lumenalta a technology modernization services company focused on delivering emerging and next generation technology solutions across industries. In addition, he is a Senior Advisor to several businesses including Baringa Partners, ZRG Partners, Atoka Partners, and Hashed Alpha in the consulting, talent management, energy, and cryptocurrency services industries, respectively.

John has served as the Chair of the Board of Trustees of Westminster College, a Board member of The Montclair Kimberly Academy, a Member Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland, and as a Trustee of the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church. In addition, he provides philanthropic support to the performing arts and for medical research.

John received his MBA degree in Finance from the University of Maryland and his B.A. degree with Honors in Economics and Business from Westminster College in Pennsylvania. He also practiced early in his career as a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Management Accountant in New York.

John is a native of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, John and his wife of over 40 years, JoAnn, currently reside in New York City, Telluride, Colorado and Paradise Valley, Arizona. They have two adult sons. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, skiing, and the study of political and military history. He is an avid collector of vintage professional baseball cards and a cigar aficionado.
